Tasha Hayes was arrested on September 11, 2025, during a joint operation with the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit, LBI Fugitive Apprehension Unit, LSP Fugitive Task Force, and the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office

This arrest was a result of a joint investigation with The Louisiana Bureau of Investigation (LBI) Cyber Crime Unit, 22nd Judicial District ICAC Task Force, St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Covington Police Department. Upon arrest, Palmer was transported to the St. Tammany Parish Jail for booking.

The Louisiana Bureau of Investigation (LBI) opened an investigation into Maurice Williams, regarding allegations of workers compensation fraud as well as perjury. Agents received information from a Caddo based Louisiana Department of Justice (LADOJ) Special Assistant Attorney General (SAAG), that former 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals, Information Technology Director, Maurice Williams, committed workers compensation fraud after claiming a work related injury at his place of employment.
