Attorney General Murrill's Louisiana Bureau of Investigation arrests Youngsville man for Distribution of Child Sexual Abuse Material Under the Age of 13 and Sexual Abuse of an Animal

Agents with Attorney General Liz Murrill's Louisiana Bureau of Investigation recently arrested a man from Youngsville on two charges.

62-year-old Eddie R. Balli, of Crest Circle in Youngsville, was arrested on April 8, 2026, for violating:

• 1 Count of 14:81.1 E(5)(a) -- child sexual abuse material under the age of thirteen (distribution) -- (Felony)

• 1 Count of 14:89.3 -- sexual abuse of an animal -- (Felony)

LBI agents received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children which kickstarted our investigation.

This arrest was a result of a joint investigation with The Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, Homeland Security Investigations, and the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Balli was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center

His bond was reportedly set for $35,000.

The investigation continues.
