AG Murrill's Louisiana Bureau of Investigation arrests Michigan man for Child Sexual Abuse Materials Under the Age of 13
Agents with Attorney General Liz Murrill's Louisiana Bureau of Investigation arrested a Michigan man for Child Sexual Abuse Material Under the Age of 13.
30-year-old Jacob-Travis Martin-Joseph Cooper, of Boon Street in Traverse City, Michigan, was arrested on February 20, on a fugitive warrant for:
- 20 Counts of 14:81.1 E(5)(a) -- Child Sexual Abuse Material Under the Age of 13 -- (Felony)
Agents initially got a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. During the course of our investigation, Cooper was identified as being in possession of the child sexual abuse material while he was living in Iberia Parish, but agents learned that he had moved to Michigan recently.
Through a coordinated effort with the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation Fugitive Apprehension Unit and the Grand Traverse Sheriff's Department, Cooper was located and arrested in Traverse City on an active Louisiana Bureau of Investigation arrest warrant issued out of the 16th Judicial District Court in Iberia.
He was booked into the Grand Traverse County Jail and is currently awaiting extradition to the Iberia Parish Jail where he will face Louisiana justice.
Our investigation continues.

*All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
