Man arrested by AG Murrill's Louisiana Bureau of Investigation for more than 500 counts of Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material

A man from the town of Eros in Jackson Parish, Louisiana, was arrested by Attorney General Liz Murrill's Louisiana Bureau of Investigation agents on January 8, 2026.

35-year-old Daniel Ray McCloy, was arrested on Jack Crowell Road, for violating:

  • LA R.S. 14.81.1 LA R.S. 14.81.1 Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material (504 Counts)

Agents initially got a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children with kickstarted our investigation.

This arrest was the result of a joint investigation with the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office, Louisiana Probation & Parole, the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office, the Jackson Parish Sheriff’s Office, and the West Monroe Police Department. 

McCloy was booked into the Ouachita Parish Correctional Center.

His bond information is unknown at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.
