Breaux Bridge man facing additional child sex crime charges after being re-arrested by AG Murrill's Louisiana Bureau of Investigation
Agents with Attorney General Liz Murrill's Louisiana Bureau of Investigation re-arrested a man from Breaux Bridge on January 7, 2026 on additional charges of crimes against children.
56-year-old Kerwin Paul Theriot, of Hammock Lane in Breaux Bridge, was arrested for violations of:
- 1 count of LA R.S.14:81.1E(5)(b) Production of Child sexual abuse materials under the age of thirteen (Felony)
- 1 count of LA R.S.14:81 Indecent behavior with juveniles (Felony)
Agents initially got a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Theriot was previously arrested by LBI in August for charges related to possession of CSAM. After further investigation, evidence was discovered which led to the additional charges.
This arrest was a result of a joint investigation between the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation Cyber Crime Unit, the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office, and Homeland Security Investigations.
"If you harm our kids, you're going to jail. Great work by my Louisiana Bureau of Investigation agents, the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office, and Homeland Security Investigations on this case," said Attorney General Liz Murrill.
Theriot was booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center.
His bond information is pending assignment.
