Man arrested by AG Murrill's Office for more than 500 counts Child Sexual Abuse Material and Sexual Abuse of an Animal

Agents with Attorney General Liz Murrill Louisiana Bureau of Investigation arrested a man for more than 500 counts of Child Sexual Abuse Material and Sexual Abuse of an Animal.

52-year-old Shannon David Miler, of A Pierre Washington Road in Broussard, was arrested on October 21, 2025, for:

  • 504 Count(s) of 14:81.1 E(5)(a) -- Child Sexual Abuse Material Under the Age of 13 -- (Felony)
  • 4 Count(s) of 14:81.1 -- Child Sexual Abuse Material--(Felony)
  • 2 Count(s) of 14:89.3 -- Sexual Abuse of an Animal--(Felony)

Agents initially got a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children which initiated our investigation.

"These are some of the most disturbing cases our agents have to investigate. We will hold anyone who hurts children or animals accountable. Great work by our LBI agents, Homeland Security Investigations, and the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office on this case," said Attorney General Murrill.

This arrest was a result of a joint investigation with The Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, Homeland Security Investigations, and the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Miller was booked into the St. Martin Parish Jail. 

There's no word on his bond information at this time.
