Agents with Attorney General Liz Murrill's Louisiana Bureau of Investigation arrested a man from Thibodaux on September 17, 2025.

59-year-old Travis P Cortez, of Swanson Drive in Thibodaux, was arrested for violating:

• 15 Counts - 14:81.1E(5)(a) Child Sexual Abuse Material (Under the age of 13)

Agents initially got a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

This arrest resulted from a joint investigation by AG Murrill's Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, the Thibodaux Police Department, and the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Cortez was booked into the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex.

His bond was set at $250,000.

The investigation is ongoing.
