AG Murrill's Louisiana Bureau of Investigation arrests St. Francisville woman for Distribution of Child Sexual Abuse Material and Obstruction of Justice

Agents with Attorney General Liz Murrill's Louisiana Bureau of Investigation arrested a St. Francisville woman for Child Sexual Abuse Material and Obstruction of Justice.

23-year-old Paula Renell Fowler, of Burnett Road in St. Francisville, was arrested in Baton Rouge on September 4, for violating:

  • LA R.S. 14:130.1 Obstruction of Justice; 1 count (East Baton Rouge Parish)
  • LA R.S. 14:81.1 (Distribution of) Child Sexual Abuse Material under the Age of Thirteen (13); 7 counts (West Feliciana Parish)
This arrest was a result of a joint investigation with The Louisiana Bureau of Investigation (LBI) Cyber Crime Unit, LBI Fugitive Apprehension Unit, the West Feliciana Parish Sheriff’s Office and the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office.

“Every time disturbing images like this are shared, it re-victimizes the child over and over again. If you distribute child sexual abuse material in Louisiana, you’re going to jail. I’d like to thank our LBI Cyber Crime Unit and our LBI Fugitive Apprehension Unit, the West Feliciana Parish Sheriff’s Office and the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office for their assistance on this case," said Attorney General Murrill.

Fowler was later transported to the East Baton Rouge Parish Jail and booked accordingly.

Her bond information is not available at this time.
