Louisiana and Mississippi AGs Ask for Your Help to Stop Human Trafficking Ahead of Super Bowl LIX
Today, Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill and Mississippi Attorney General Lynn Fitch announced a partnership ahead of this weekend's Super Bowl to help people identify, report, and end human trafficking. The State of Louisiana and the Louisiana Department of Justice are committed to ending human trafficking by providing enforcement, public awareness, and victim support.
“Human trafficking is a $150-billion industry and sadly it’s growing, making it one of the most profitable illegal businesses globally. This is a worldwide problem, but it’s a local one too. One victim is too many. Research shows that there is a significant increase in human and sex trafficking in a host city during the Super Bowl. Please be aware this weekend if you are in New Orleans. Together we can make a difference and end human trafficking,” said Attorney General Murrill.
