Federal judge blocks Biden-Harris assault on Louisiana farmers; halts rule to unionize temporary foreign agriculture workers
The Southern District of Georgia granted a preliminary injunction against the U.S. Department of Labor to halt a rule that would have created unionization protections for H-2A visa holders (temporary foreign agricultural workers) against American farmers.
The rule would have granted greater protections to migrant agricultural workers than to domestic agricultural workers. The Court held that the Rule was an illegal expansion of the National Labor Relations Act.
"The court's ruling is a huge win for both Louisiana farmers and ranchers. This was yet another attempt by the Biden-Harris administration to expand the scope of the federal government's power, at the expense of the hardworking men and women of Louisiana," said Attorney General Liz Murrill.
